Would you like to volunteer?
There's no better way to get involved in your campus community than to come and be a part of something worthwhile and fun! Whether you're looking for a way to get involved in something meaningful, an event where you can meet some friendly faces on campus, or just a way to spend your day, we'd love to have you. We'll be needing people to help set up and clean up, help spread the word, and assist with various duties during the event. Currently we are also looking for people to become committee members and help us plan our cut-a-thon! If you're willing and able to lend a hand in any way, contact Jenny at volunteer@cutsforcancer.net.

Cuts for Cancer 2007 is a big success!

The third annual Cuts for Cancer event to take place at the Univeristy of British Columbia took place on Monday, March 12th, 2007. Once again, we raised a record total in hair and money of over $50,000 -- with over $14,053 in pledges and donations, and another $36,000 in hair!*

Cuts for Cancer is the record-holding charity event fundraiser put on by a club at UBC, and every year we just push that record a little higher. Of course, this could never be achieved without your generosity and support, so our heartfelt thanks and a round of applause goes out to you! Thank you, and we hope to see you again in 2008!

Pictures of the 2007 event can be found here.

* $17,000 worth in hair was donated the day of the event; $19,000 worth in hair was received by mail throughout the year.
***We are continuing to receive hair via mail. Thank you for your ongoing generosity! We will count any hair received from this point on as officially being accepted as part of our 2008 event.
